A Harrisonburg man died following a two-vehicle crash in Rockingham County, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Friday, May 29th, at the intersection of Rawley Pike and Erickson Avenue, right outside Harrisonburg.
Reports say a tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on Rawley Pike and had stopped at a red light. As the light turned green, a car rear ended the tractor trailer.
The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital, but later passed from his injuries.
According to the Virginia State Police, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, and the tractor trailer driver was not injured.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated.
