Alice Cooper teamed up with illusionist Criss Angel to launch their theatrical Las Vegas residency Welcome to Our Nightmare on Friday (March 6) at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The opening night blended Cooper’s signature shock-rock performance with Angel’s stage illusions in a production designed to combine music and magic.
Cooper’s 19-song set featured a mix of classic hits, deeper cuts, and several songs that had never been performed live before. The rock legend opened the show with “Bed of Nails” before moving into fan favorites like “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “Welcome to My Nightmare.”
The performance also included three songs making their live debut: “Cold Machines” from the 2000 album Brutal Planet, “I Am Made of You” from 2011’s Welcome 2 My Nightmare, and “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows,” which originally appeared on 1976’s Alice Cooper Goes to Hell.
Another surprise came when Cooper performed the ballad “You and Me,” a hit from 1977’s Lace and Whiskey. The song had not been played live since 1978, making its return one of the night’s standout moments.
Fans inside the venue were unable to record the performance because phone use was prohibited, but the confirmed setlist revealed a wide-ranging selection of songs spanning Cooper’s long career.
Additional Welcome to Our Nightmare shows are scheduled for March 7 and 8, with another set of performances planned for April 2–4. After the residency dates conclude, Cooper will begin a U.S. tour on April 14 starting in San Antonio.
