Ghost’s iconic logo has a tiny flaw — and frontman Tobias Forge says it dates back to the day he first designed it while working a day job.

In a recent interview with Nardwuar, Forge recalled creating the band’s lettering in 2006 while employed at a tech-support call center. At the time, he was sketching ideas between calls and experimenting with ways to give the logo a shadowed, dimensional look by duplicating the lettering.

Forge said he even paused a customer conversation to print and copy the design so he could layer the effect. But during the process, he unintentionally shifted the paper slightly while drawing — a misalignment that remains visible in the final emblem.

According to Forge, the subtle angle change can still be spotted in the finished Ghost logo today if examined closely, preserving a small artifact from the band’s earliest days.
