Beartooth Set To Release New Song “Free”

Beartooth has previewed a brand-new song titled “Free,” which is set for official release on Friday, February 27.

The track made its live debut on February 22 in Salt Lake City during the opening night of the band’s North American tour alongside Bad Omens. Fan-recorded footage of the performance surfaced online shortly after the show.

“Free” follows the band’s 2024 release of The Surface (Deluxe Edition), an expanded version of their 2023 album that added new material, alternate mixes, and live recordings captured in Sacramento. The original album marked a major commercial peak for the group, topping multiple rock and alternative charts and producing two No. 1 active rock radio hits: “Might Love Myself” and “I Was Alive.”

Since emerging with their 2014 debut Disgusting, Beartooth — led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo — has built a reputation for blending heavy intensity with melodic hooks. Across subsequent albums including AggressiveDiseaseBelow, and The Surface, the band has continued to expand its sound while maintaining a devoted rock audience.
