Nikki Sixx says keeping his family safe now outweighs any social media presence — especially when it comes to his youngest daughter.

The Mötley Crüe bassist recently explained why he no longer shares photos of his six-year-old daughter, Ruby, revealing that his family has faced repeated stalking incidents and direct threats in recent years. Some of those involved, he said, have since been jailed.

Sixx emphasized that while the vast majority of fans are respectful, public exposure isn’t worth the risk. He said Ruby’s privacy is a conscious decision rooted in experience, adding that protecting her means more than posting online.

Responding to followers on X, Sixx confirmed he maintains close ties with local law enforcement and takes threats seriously. He also made clear that, if necessary, he’s prepared to defend his family himself, noting that they live on private property and understand their legal rights.

This isn’t the first time Sixx has dealt with dangerous situations involving stalkers. In 2023, he disclosed that multiple individuals from different states had threatened him and his family, prompting FBI involvement and legal action.

For Sixx, the message is simple: nothing takes priority over family safety.
