David Lee Roth is officially back on the road.
The former Van Halen frontman has announced a 30-date tour across the U.S. and Canada, marking his most extensive run in years. The tour is set to kick off April 16 in Airway Heights, Washington, and will wrap up August 7 in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Roth’s return follows his reemergence onstage in May 2025, when he ended a five-year break from touring at the M3 Festival. That performance introduced a revamped live setup, including an eight-piece band and a four-member backing vocal group — a lineup that signaled Roth wasn’t easing back in quietly.
Never one to shy away from humor, Roth joked during his comeback that he had officially reached “the end of my first retirement,” playfully comparing his own career breaks to Rocky Balboa’s many comebacks.
While Roth has released a handful of standalone singles in recent years, he hasn’t put out a solo album in more than two decades. His most recent full-length appearance came in 2012 on A Different Kind of Truth, Van Halen’s reunion album.
Tickets for the upcoming tour will be available through presales beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. local time, with a general onsale set for Friday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. The schedule includes stops at theaters, casinos, amphitheaters, and iconic venues across North America, promising fans plenty of chances to catch the legendary frontman live.
