Jane’s Addiction have officially resolved their legal battle with former frontman Perry Farrell after a lawsuit tied to a 2024 on-stage altercation was dismissed in California.

In July 2025, band members Dave NavarroEric Avery, and Stephen Perkins sued Farrell following a highly publicized confrontation during a September 2024 concert in Boston. Their complaint alleged Farrell’s actions led to the abrupt cancellation of the band’s reunion tour and claimed more than $10 million in losses, including damages for assault, battery, emotional distress, negligence, and breaches of contract and fiduciary duty.

According to People, on December 22, the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles dismissed the lawsuit after the parties reached a settlement, bringing an end to the contentious court battle.

The resolution followed Farrell’s public apology for the incident in Boston, where he acknowledged losing his temper and disrupting the show, expressing regret to both fans and former bandmates. Around the same time, the band issued a joint statement clarifying that they had canceled the remainder of the tour without alerting Farrell first and regretted making inaccurate comments about his mental health.

In their shared message, Navarro, Avery, and Perkins said they had “come together one last time to resolve our differences,” stressing their pride in the music they created and their appreciation for the fans who supported them over the years. With all legal matters now settled, the members confirmed they are pursuing separate musical and creative paths while honoring the legacy of Jane’s Addiction’s work together.
