Liam Gallagher slammed a fan who set off flares during Oasis’ opening night in Australia, calling the culprit a “seriously f***ed up individual” after the dangerous stunt at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday (Nov. 1).

The incident occurred during the band’s encore performance of “Champagne Supernova,” when two flares were launched into the packed crowd. Witnesses described sudden bursts of light and smoke, with one attendee telling news.com.au that it “looked like a fire” before security contained it. Some concertgoers reportedly left early due to safety concerns.

Despite strict bag checks at the venue, it remains unclear how the flares were smuggled in or whether anyone was injured. Gallagher addressed the situation on X, writing, “To the massive c*** who launched that flare into the crowd last night… you will get yours, trust me.”

During the moment, Liam appeared visibly frustrated on stage, wagging his finger at the audience, though the band continued performing. The Melbourne show marked the kickoff of Oasis’ “Live 25” reunion tour, which sees Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited with Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker. The group will play multiple shows in Melbourne before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
