Sid Wilson, best known as Slipknot’s turntablist, has officially launched his own record label, Vomit Face Records, and announced its first signing — Lil Bushwick, the son of late Geto Boys legend Bushwick Bill.
Known for his experimental approach to music, Wilson described the label as a platform for unconventional artists who “don’t fit in and never wanted to.” In a press release, he said, “Vomit Face Records is about tearing down walls — for rebels creating real art in a fake world. It’s a place for the misfits to have a voice and make something raw and real.”
Wilson explained that signing Lil Bushwick fulfilled a promise made to Bushwick Bill before his passing in 2019. “We planned to make an album together, but when he passed, I promised to carry that forward through his son,” Wilson said.
Wilson teamed up with DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit to co-produce Lil Bushwick’s debut single, “Take It Back,” which features posthumous vocals from Bushwick Bill. The rapper’s self-titled debut album will be released October 31 through Vomit Face Records.
“I’m proud to say we made the impossible possible for this iconic father-and-son lineage,” Wilson concluded.
