Oasis just gave fans a fresh spin on one of their biggest hits, dropping a new unplugged version of Morning Glory. The stripped-down track comes straight from their upcoming 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, which will feature acoustic takes on fan favorites like Wonderwall, Cast No Shadow, Champagne Supernova, and more.
The new version was produced by Noel Gallagher alongside Callum Marinho, using the original master tapes at Noel’s Lone Star Sound studio in London. A visualizer for the track also launched today (Sept. 24), showing off the updated vibe.
The deluxe edition officially arrives Oct. 3 via Big Brother Recordings and is available for pre-order now.
The timing is fitting—Oasis are fresh off a massive North American tour run, including seven sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium. They’ll wrap up in London this weekend before heading across the globe to South Korea, Japan, Australia, and South America.
Nearly three decades later, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? remains a Britrock landmark. With more than 22 million copies sold worldwide, it’s still the UK’s third best-selling album ever, and earlier this year it was crowned the most-streamed album of the ’90s.
