Virginia State Police released further information on a fatal vehicle crash Thursday 8/4 around 7:30 p.m. near Verona. VSP responded to a call of a single vehicle crash north of Quicks Mill Road on Limestone Road. Thirty-six year old Wallace Blackwell of Mount Sidney, driver of a 2006 Honda Civic involved in the crash, died at the scene. State Police reported the Civic ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Three minors (12 yr old male, 11 yr old female and an 8 yr old male) were taken to UVA medical center for treatment of serious injuries. All were wearing seatbelts according to VSP.
