Skeleton Festival 2019

Skeleton Festival is back on Saturday, October 19th in downtown Harrisonburg!

Trick-or-treat at local businesses from 2-4pm, and don’t miss the spooky (but not too spooky) activities and detours scattered throughout downtown! Find even more festivities on Court Square, including kid, dog, and adult costume contests, weird science lab, tarot card readings,wacky shacks,goober globs and, of course,whisker biscuits.

Schedule of Events:

1pm-6pm:Pale Fire’s 1stannual Pumpkin Derby

2pm-4pm: Trick-or-Treating at participating downtown businesses and organizations. Pick up a candy map at the Hardesty-Higgins House Visitor’s Center (212 S Main St) or at the HDR info tent on the south-eastern corner of Court Square.

2pm-4pm: Activities throughout downtown, including Explore More Discovery Museum’s (not too) spooky obstacle course in Denton Park, tarot card readings, music from DJ Ryan Clark and Jaguardini, a Haunted Library at MRL, Weird Science Lab with JMU chemistry students, face painting at Larkin Arts, photo booths from the Rosy Co., a caramel apple dipping station at Heritage Bakery & Cafe, slime pot & witches brew at Pendleton Community Bank, performances by Dance & Company and the cast of Annie, monster painting wall, and much more!

4pm-5:30pm: Dog, kid, and adult costume contests on Court Square, emceed by Chris and Mike Howdyshell of Bingo is Life. No pre-registration required!
