Augusta County Public Schools Offers Free Summer Meals for Students
Augusta County Public Schools is making sure no student goes hungry this summer by providing free breakfast and lunch kits throughout the month of June. All school-aged children are eligible to receive five days’ worth of breakfasts and lunches, distributed at designated locations across the county.
Meal Distribution Locations and Times:
Wilson Memorial High School: June 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 5 PM to 7 PM
Riverheads Middle School: June 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 5 PM to 7 PM
Buffalo Gap High School: June 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 5 PM to 7 PM
Additionally, Augusta County Public Schools has partnered with the Augusta County Library Book Mobile to extend meal services to more rural areas. Non-perishable breakfast and lunch items will be available at the following locations:
Verona Fire Department (Book Mobile): June 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 1 PM to 3 PM
Craigsville Library (Book Mobile): June 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 1 PM to 3 PM
Stuarts Draft Fire Department (Book Mobile): June 5, 12, 18, and 26 from 1 PM to 3 PM
Registration Required:
To help plan for the right number of meal kits, families are asked to sign up online in advance. This ensures that each site is prepared with enough food to meet community needs. Meal kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged.
