Augusta Jeep club at Sun. Retreats have joined up to bring you the Arctic dip and Arctic run! The jeeps will line up at 9:30 AM at some retreat to go on a frigid ride. Then we will be returning to some retreats to join them for their optic depth for the Arctic Dip are below. If you do not participate in the dip, you may make a donation, we certainly encourage you to join in if you'd like to jump in!!! AJC will line up around the lake when we return! T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available for purchase and lunch will also be available!! We will be taking a run down 608 and returning on 340 just prior to the dip!
Join us for the 10th Annual VAIL Arctic Dip - the COOLEST fundraiser of the year! Valley Associates for Independent Living, Inc. (VAIL) is a non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of services and supports to individuals with all types of disabilities to ensure that each person is able to be fully-participating members of our community.
Much like a more traditional walk-a-thon, individuals register to participate and then ask family and friends to sponsor their dip in the lake at Sun Retreats Shenandoah Valley (formerly Shenandoah Acres Family Campground). Individuals must raise at least $25 to participate; and those raising $75 or more get a free t-shirt to commemorate their zany adventure. Prizes are awarded to individuals who raise the most funds.
The public is encouraged to come and cheer for the participants, enjoy lively music, concessions, and a toasty bonfire.
