Fire destroyed the Long John Silver's location in Staunton more than a year ago. Since then many rumors and news bits have surfaced about the location rebuilding and reopening at a time when many chain restaurants have closed due to the recent downtown caused by the COVID pandemic.
According to Long John Silver's representatives, the new restaurant will be a standalone Long John Silver's. Previously, the location had fried fish along with the A&W food and drinks.
