Growing up in the 1970's and 1980's in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, a name that became a household word for a while was "Quiet T. Please". "Quiet" was a guy who first came to the attention of many residents of the area when he became a write-in candidate for Sheriff of Rockingham County in 1979.
