Drug-sniffing dog finds nearly 30 pounds of cocaine in motorized wheelchair

Officials were checking passengers exiting a flight from the Dominican Republic to Milan at the Milan Airport. A drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to a passenger whose bags were checked - nothing found. One of the officers then slashed the leather upholstery on the motorized wheel chair he was using and found nearly 30 pounds of cocaine.

The flight path from the DR to Milan has been a drug route in the past so Milan officials have been cautious.

Once the chair was slashed and the cocaine found, the passenger stood up without help and walked away, arrested by police.
