Dr. Sandra Lee, or "Dr. Pimple Popper" as she's more commonly known, might get hundreds of thousands of views on her YouTube videos, but that doesn't exactly make her any money.
She was making around $100,000 a month from 2014 to 2016. But then YouTube stopped it when they said her content is TOO graphic.
A YouTube spokesperson clarified that her videos are NOT demonetized and can still run ads.
The only problem is most advertisers don't want their ads on videos labeled as sensitive content for being "too graphic."
But Dr. Lee argues that YouTube is mischaracterizing her videos.
She feels that they're educational and not gratuitous, and she's proud that people learn from them.
Quote, "There's a fine line between what's dangerous, what is just shocking, and what is educational."
