“American Idol” frontrunner Kenedi Anderson’s, from Albemarle County, time on the hit singing competition series has come to an end.
The 17-year-old contestant got into the Top 24 for season 20 of the ABC series. However, on Monday, she took to social media to share that she decided to drop out of the musical race.
From her Instagram: “For personal reasons, I’m unable to continue on ‘American Idol.’ This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know it’s necessary... I’m so grateful to ‘American Idol,’ the judges, the producers, the amazing contestants, and all the fans who have supported me.”
