From the HPD Facebook page: On October 30, 2021, an unknown black male suspect made entry into Park Place located at 1825 Shank Drive which is a part of VMRC. The suspect entered the building under the ruse of delivering flowers to a resident and was in the building for over an hour. During that time the suspect accessed multiple apartments belonging to senior citizens and stole various items to include checkbooks and credit cards. After leaving, the suspect made several fraudulent purchases at stores along Burgess Road with the stolen credit cards.
HPD is asking for assistance with identifying the unknown suspect. He is described as a tall, thin black male between 35 – 50 years old. At one point the suspect is wearing a Florida Gators hat. It’s possible that the suspect purchased the bouquet of flowers from a local convenience store prior to the thefts. HPD is further requesting information from any local stores pertaining to the suspect making that purchase on the morning of 10/30/2021.
