More Snow Expected Thursday Into Friday Across The Central Valley

Winter isn't ready to release its grip on the Central Shenandoah Valley region as two possible storms bear down as March roars in like a lion.

Storm number one, expected Thursday evening into Friday, may bring an inch or two of snow across the area, potentially causing driving difficulties Friday morning.

Thursday night, the snow is expected to spread across the area late, after 1am, with temps hovering just below freezing. Snow will continue into Friday morning, possibly changing to light rain by midday with highs expected in the lower 40s.

As the day continues Friday, the rain may change back into snow and continue into Saturday midday. The chance of rain or snow continues into Saturday night before clearing for Sunday. Then, there is another possibility of even more snow Sunday night.

Thursday night's snow may result in school delays or cancellations. The latest listings are available below. Be sure to bookmark these pages so you can check Friday morning.
