ROCKY TRACTOR COLORING CONTEST WINNERS
(Rockingham, VA) – The Rockingham County Fair is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Rocky Tractor Coloring Contest are:
Kindergarten winner, Katie Bortrager from Linville-Edom Elementary
First grade winner, Nash Collins from John C. Myers Elementary
Second grade winner, Jason Sendejas from W.H. Keister Elementary
The contest was open to all Rockingham County and Harrisonburg City school age children ages Pre-K through 2nd grade. Students were to create a color scene of Rocky Tractor on a farm or at the Fair. Entries were judged by based on creativity, coloring skill and overall artistic ability according to that age category. One winner from each grade was selected to be the overall winner.
“We had a lot of entries in the contest and the decision was not an easy one,” said Pam Edwards, General Manager. “The judges debated for a while before choosing their favorites. Everyone was impressed with the creativity and talents of the entries and we are going to share them with fairgoers during the 2018 event.”
The winners will each receive gate admission, have their winning entry publicized, and be recognized at the Fair. Every student who created an entry will receive a free gate admission to the 2018 Rockingham County Fair and will have their entry posted at the fairgrounds.
