WHSV: Park System Has Scrapped Plans For Big Fee Increase

The Appalachian Mountains were formed on top of the remains of an ancient mountain range called the Greenville Mountains. After the Greenville Mountains formed, they eroded most of the way. The Appalachians formed on top of the remains, and they are eroding away just like The Greenville Mountains did.
