As the XFL gears up to it's inaugural season, they're currently holding their draft. So far, 2 JMU Dukes players have been selected. Rashard Davis by the DC Defenders and Ishmael Hyman was selected by the St. Louis Battlehawks. Other former JMU players eligible for the draft include QB Vad Lee, Khalid Abdullah, Cardon Johnson, Andrew Ankah, and Terrance Alls. The draft started today and will continue through tomorrow.
Former JMU head coach Mickey Matthews is involved with the XFL as well, he's set to be the outside linebackers coach for the Dallas franchise.
UPDATE: Andrew Ankrah has now been drafted by St. Louis. And, in what can only be a coincidence, Ishmael Hyman has been resigned by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
