The backstory is that they gym had talked to this kid about his deadlifting being too loud, and told him that he could deadlift, but only if he put mats under the weights to minimize the noise. So that's what he did. This jackwagon apparently decided that he was still being too loud and took it upon himself to try to throw the kid out of the gym. But not before kicking the weight out of the kids hands WHILE he was in the middle of a lift. Which could have seriously injured the kid. I'm guessing he was upset that a 19 year old could deadlift more than he could? Word is that angry tank top man has been banned from the gym, and the young man doing the deadlifts has been given a year free membership at another gym, where he is free to do all the deadlifting that he'd like. Seriously, if you have a problem with how someone else is lifting in the gym, don't handle it like this. Let them finish their set/lift, and then calmly discuss it. I'm no tough guy, but if you kick the weights out of my hands during a lift, the noise I'm making in the gym is going to be the least of your problems.
