A double dose of sadness for the fans of WWE, as today we've learned that both Nikolai Volkoff and Brian Lawler have passed away today. Volkoff was 70 years old, and is probably best remembered at the Russian heel who sang the Russian National Anthem before each of his matches. The Hall of Famer had epic battles with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Sgt. Slaughter and other fan favorites during his run with the company. You can read more on his passing HERE
Also passing away is Brian Lawler, who wrestled as Brian Christopher and Grand Master Sexay. Brian was the son of wrestling legend Jerry "The King" Lawler and probably best remembered as a part of the tag team Too Cool with Scotty 2 Hotty and later Rikishi. Lawler had recently been arrested in Tennessee for DUI and evading Police, and is said to have hung himself in jail. You can read more on Brian's death HERE
Another fairly prominent wrestler from years ago has also passed away, Brickhouse Brown, who was a star in the Von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling, later the USWA in the mid to late 80's. He also spent some time in the WWE in the mid 90's. Rumors of his death circulated last week, but proved to be false. Unfortunately, today's report appears to be true, and Brickhouse has lost his battle with cancer. More on his passing can be found HERE
