Early season, and already tempers are flaring! A couple of really good bench clearing brawls happened last night in MLB. In the Rockies/Padres game, the Padres threw behind Rockies 3rd baseman Nolan Arenado after the teams had exchanged hit batters earlier in the game. Nolan didn't take too kindly to that pitch and it was ON!
In the Yankees game, the Sox threw at Tyler Austin in retaliation for a hard slide that they considered to be dirty early in the game. The benches cleared after that slide but cooler heads seemed to have prevailed...up until Joe Kelly dropped that pitch into Austin's ribcage.
As a Yankees fan, and professional Red Sox hater, it's good to see this rivalry growing strong again. And Austin's slide was totally clean...get over it Boston!!! Tonight's game should be a fun one!
