Sentara announces new Primary Care and Physical Therapy Center in Staunton

Sentara Medical Group is expanding its regional impact by opening Sentara Primary Care & Therapy Center in Staunton, VA.

The new clinic, built to offer quick, convenient care, will provide primary care services, walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries, physical therapy, and X-ray services together in one centralized location.

“We are excited to be able to provide this new facility and expanded services to the Staunton area,” said Kurt Hofelich, vice president of ambulatory services for Sentara Medical Group. “We hope the new facility makes health care more convenient and allows people access to the services they need without having to leave the community.”

Staunton native Dr. Erica Formato, formerly with Sentara East Market Street Health Center, will begin seeing patients at the new location on Monday, August 22nd. Patients can either walk in, call ahead to make an appointment or reserve a time online at SentaraPrimaryCareandTherapy.com. Sentara Primary Care & Therapy Center will care for patients five years and older.

“Sentara’s mission to improve health every day extends to the entire community we serve. Staunton residents have long been a part of that community, and we are honored to continue to find ways to meet their medical needs. With this new practice, we are now able to provide the same high-quality care for minor injuries and illnesses at a more easily accessible location for this area,” said Doug Moyer, president of Sentara RMH Medical Center.

The 11,000-square-foot facility is located at 103 Community Way in Staunton, VA.

Sentara Primary Care & Therapy Center will be open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. The phone number is 540-437-7920.
