A team of German engineers have created a pole-dancing robot because ... well ... why not?

Finally realizing that C-3PO, R2-D2 and Johnny-5 have needs too, a German software company worked with artist Giles Walker to create Lexy and Tess – two female (how can you even tell?) robot strippers that gyrate and grind on a pole. They even have their own robot DJ, who probably scores with one of the robotic dancers every night.

If you'd like one of these pole-dancing robots for yourself, each one will cost you about $39,000. Hopefully for that price they'll also throw in a reasonable explanation you can give others for why you have one
